Last Wednesday night, December 6th, the culinary arts and culinary applications classes taught by Mrs. Farr catered an event held by Ameriprise Financial. The event was held at Thunderstruck Bumpers located behind the Great Plains Theater.

The FCCLA students prepared the food during class the week leading up to the event on Wednesday night.

The students were assigned the task of serving the guests and informing them about what it was they were serving. while some students served, others stayed in the back prepping food to ensure there would be no shortage of appetizers, trays, and desserts. Students served both typical and unique appetizers such as Hamburger Sliders, Bang Bang Chicken Bites, Stuffed Mushrooms, Cranberry-Brie Bites, Bruschetta, Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Mango Salsa, Hummus, and Olive and Cheese Kabobs. It didn’t stop there, they also prepared fruit and vegetable trays and topped it all off with a wide range of desserts.

“Events like these are always stressful to prepare for, but everyone was really relaxed and we had a fun time doing it. It was really nice to see our hard work pay off.” Brenna Riffel, FCCLA President.
