The Abilene Cowboys wrestling team headed to Phillipsburg on Saturday, February 3rd to compete in
a tournament against many teams from around the state. The Cowboys snuck past the Marysville Bulldogs
to win the tournament. Abilene finished with 148.5 team points and Marysville ended with 146 team
points. Many wrestlers placed and competed well against some tough competition, especially Marysville,
who beat Abilene in a duel earlier this season. Placers for the Cowboys included Will Stroda (1st), Trevor
Casteel (3rd), Jackson Randles (4th), Austin Wuthnow (3rd), Dakota Laun (4th), Dakotah Whiteley (1st),
Trey Hoerner (1st), Dawson Wuthnow (2nd), and Adam Henely (2nd). Junior Austin Wuthnow said, “It
was a good win for the team and everyone wrestled pretty well.”
