It’s November 9th, 2017. Abilene is playing McPherson at McPherson. The Cowboys just got routed by 40 by the Bulldogs and it’s the final game of the season. You look over and you see starting cornerback and running back Dominick Campbell and the tears are flowing. Little did we know this was Dom’s last game as a Cowboy. The senior stud had worked so hard all 4 years to get to state and it only happened twice. The Cowboys never won a championship. His final season the Cowboys went 2-7 and didn’t even qualify for state. So yes, this season was disappointing, but that’s why Dom was emotional. He was crying because it was his last game for Abilene. He realized he never thought it would end until now and he didn’t even go to state.
Dominick is also a track star. He is ranked in the state of Kansas, and he is a champion hurdler. Running a 4 second 40 yard dash and a speedy 300 meter hurdles time, Dominick excels at track. Dom is also a stellar weight lifter; he holds the record in his weight class for squat, which is 385 lbs. He said he has been lifting weights for a few years now.

Campbell is signed to Tabor College on an athletic scholarship, where he will continue to play at a high level.
