It is understood that there are many names that are common, but really how many people share your name at AHS?  What were our parents thinking 14-18 years ago when they labored over the baby name books and scoured the family archives? We also have to wonder if our parents got together to name us, because there seems to be several repeats.  Let’s take a look at what kind of names we have at AHS this year.  

The graphic shows the meaning of these names.  None of the meanings seem very revolutionary. What does red speakers mean anyway?  Why not name us Dara; it means wisdom–or Ethan means strong. Not bashing on anyone’s name, but just wondering what our parents were thinking—that’s all.
