To kick off excitement for the rivalry game against Chapman this Friday, AHS Cheer is hosing the annual Stadium Bash. The event is this Wednesday at the AHS stadium parking lot from 6:30-8pm. It will include a car bash, jersey auction, 50/50 raffle, music, games, and a opportunity to cheer on the cowboys. The rivalry between Abilene and Chapman has been ongoing for 132 years, making it the longest high school rivalry west of the Mississippi, and the energy this week is expected to match the history.
“It’s really to celebrate the rivalry with Abilene and Chapman and to get the school spirit going,” football cheer caption Jersie Albertson said. “I hope to see everyone at the bash and the game supporting the cowboys.”
