On Monday, November 3rd, AHS senior Heath Hoekman committed to play baseball for Juco Powerhouse, Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, Oklahoma (NOC).
“I was scrolling through my followers on Twitter [X] and saw the hitting coach from NOC Tonk was following me, and I have a best friend who’s there now, so I decided to shoot him a text and almost immediately he got back with me,” Heath Hoekman said.
A few weeks later, NOC Tonk sent Heath the paper he had been waiting for.
“I had a rush of happiness when I received my official offer.

During his signing at the Abilene media center, Hoekman was surrounded by his family, coaches, and friends who were there to celebrate him.
“I’m truly blessed to
have the friends that I made and thepeople that have supported me throughout my whole career and journey,” Hoekman said.
The next journey in Hoekman’s life is something he has been dreaming about since he could remember.
“It’s a huge dream of mine to play college baseball since I was three years old, and now I have the opportunity to play and show off my talent,” Hoekman said.
