The Abilene Cowgirls volleyball team went to Hays on Thursday, Oct. 3rd, 2019.  Playing in Hays is always a difficult atmosphere to play in.  

 Chesney Sprinkle sr., was very proud of the cowgirls exclaiming: “Overall at the Hays quad we were very successful as a team! Our blocking was on and that was key to shut down the big hitters! We could get very good passes that lead to big kills for the team! Our energy was up and it was a great night for us.” 

 The varsity, JV, and freshman all competed well at Hays and really worked together. The Cowgirls competed well and worked hard as the team they’ve developed throughout the season.  They also had girls return who were missing earlier in the season due to injury.

“We communicated very well and recognized their weak spots early on. It didn’t take long for the team to become flustered and that’s when we pushed points.” said Brynna Ade, jr.

The JV pulled through with a win.
