Christmas Spirit

On Thursday, December 5, 2019, the second and third grade children from McKinley elementary did an outstanding Christmas performance. These young children that will soon represent our community stood up on the stage in the auditorium and performed beautiful Christmas songs from our childhood. A stage full of young children dressed to impress represented the Christmas spirit with their families and friends supporting them.

They sang songs such as: “Joy to the World”, “O Tannenbaum”, “O Come, Little Children”, “Deck the Halls”, “Hanukkah Oh Hanukkah”, “Jolly Old Saint Nichola”, “Ho Ho Ho”, and “A Happy New Year”. They also played instruments along with a few of their songs.

They did exceptionally well on all their songs. Of course there were a few stranglers that felt awkward up on a stage in front of a hundred people, but to be frank about it I was that way too. Overall, these wonderful and bright young children did a wonderful job of representing our youth society. They brought a bit of adorable Christmas spirit to our little Kansas town. Although I didn’t get a chance to get a pamphlet, I was wonderfully surprised by the environmental feel of their performance. I am overall enthusiastically proud of the outcome of our 2nd and 3rd grade students at McKinley. They were and are truly early little gifts from Santa to our small town.
