CTE, or Career and Technical Education, is a pathway students can take in school to build real-world skills, explore career options, and prepare for college or future jobs.
The CTE Showcase celebrates student success and highlights the work students have completed throughout the year. The event focuses on creativity, hands-on learning, and the skills students have developed in their CTE classes.
“So, all the art kids that brought art to the art shows will be displaying their work from the semester on that night, and it’s a good way for their families to come see all the artwork that they worked really hard all this year,” art teacher Mr. Moyer said
The CTE Showcase at AHS gives the community a chance to come in, see student projects, and get a closer look at the knowledge and experience students have gained throughout the year.
“The CTE showcase is a good way to show off work at the end of the year to our community and our families,” ag teacher Mr. Fry said
The CTE pathway includes classes such as agriculture, business, health sciences, media, restaurants and hospitality, and event management. Students in these programs learn valuable skills that can help prepare them for college and future careers.
“The CTE showcase allows the CTE department, the metal shop, the wood shop, photography, art, designed to showcase what they’ve done, give the community a chance to come into our building and look at the projects,” culinary teacher Mr. Moyers said.
