The Abilene Cowgirls basketball team played Wamego on Tuesday the 8th. The game was close until the end, with each team having many foils. The girls pulled through and won by one point, with the final score being 42-41. The Cowgirls remain undefeated, with a record of 7-0. Congrats to the Cowgirls!

Coach Molly Burton expressed, “Every member was involved in that win. Some were the scorers, some were the distributors of the ball, some were the defenders, some were the rebounders, and some were the cheerleaders.”

Coach Burton stated that the team struggled with finishing around the rim, free throws, and sometimes the girls struggled with boxing out on the back side. Burton included that drills are incorporated during practice that work on their weaknesses.
