How long have you been teaching? 

This is my second year of teaching 

What made you want to become a teacher? 

I enjoy helping students learn skills that will help them if they go into a skilled trade such as carpentry or cabinetmaking. Even for the students who don’t have plans to work in those areas, it is a really great skill to have. 

What brought you to AHS? 

I have be doing construction since graduating high school and the opportunity to teach it in Abilene was something I really hoped to do someday. The timing for the job opening here was perfect.  

What do you hope you can bring to the AHS classroom? 

I hope to bring a lot of experiences that I have gotten from my military service and my jobs since graduating high school.
